Pan-African Studies - Minor
Department of Pan-African Studies
Oscar Ritchie Hall
The Pan-African Studies minor introduces students to the experiences and accomplishments of people of African descent, wherever they may be in the world. The minor complements majors that prepare students to work in areas such as education, law, law enforcement, public service, social work, research, foreign service, business and community development.
Beyond the required courses, students may choose to focus on history, diaspora studies, politics, language, culture, arts or a general program.
Fully Offered At:
- Kent Campus
Admission to a minor is open to students declared in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major). Students declared only in the A.A. or A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree in Individualized Program may not declare a minor. Students may not pursue a minor and a major in the same discipline.
