About This Program
The Architectural History minor is intended for students who desire to expand their understanding of architectural history. Students with an interest in or declared in the following majors may benefit from this minor: History, Geography, Architecture, Art History, Interior Design and Architectural Studies.

Admission Requirements
Admission to a minor is open to students declared in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major). Students declared only in the A.A. or A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree in Individualized Program may not declare a minor. Students may not pursue a minor and a major in the same discipline.
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Compare and contrast a wide range of architectural styles, structures and cultural differences from ancient civilizations to the present.
- Analyze topics in architectural history both visually and verbally.
- Criticize historical narratives according to historiographic method.
- Define research topics, refine research methods and interpret archival and secondary sources.
