About This Program

The Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Management minor gives students a solid background in the skills of managing conflicts in constructive, not destructive, ways. Students learn how to apply skills that are not only useful in a variety of workplace settings, but also everyday life and relationships.

The minor's core courses are important life skills that can be valuable for students in any major. Students can choose electives that work best with their major or based on their specific interests, including business, human resources, law, psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, criminal justice, political science, international relations, communication studies, public health, nursing, human services, family science, education, conflict management, peacebuilding, environmental studies, activism or other areas.
